Utah Higher Education Internship Resources

Brigham Young University Office of Academic Internships is dedicated to helping students, faculty, and employers develop and facilitate productive experiential learning opportunities in the workplace. Information for IT companies seeking students for IT Internships will need to be registered with BYU as an approved Experience Provider and coordinate with the IT department. For business internships, please visit the Marriott School of Business Intership Program web pages.

Salt Lake Community College Student Employment and Cooperative Education Services works closely with employers to help students find employment and internship opportunities. If you have an employment or internship opportunity, please complete a job order form and return it to Student Employment Services. Also, participating in the Cooperative Education/Internship program can help you in your recruiting efforts, serve as a proving ground for potential employees, and allow you to give feedback to Salt Lake Community College about education programs which train your present and future workforce.

University of Utah Career Services can provide prompt, easy access to qualified junior, senior or graduate level students who are interested in internships. All majors are represented through Career Services, but of special interest would be those students in the department of Accounting and Information Systems. For more information about co-op or internships, contact Diane Ward, Co-op and Career Counselor, (801) 585-5060, dward@sa.utah.edu, and visit our website at http://careers.utah.edu.

Weber State University Career Services provides employers with access to thousands of high-quality students and alumni who are well-prepared to enter the workforce. Career Services offers a broad range of resources designed to help employers make this connection. Employers seeking interns, please call Pat Wheeler at (801) 626-7914 or e-mail pwheeler@weber.edu. More information is available at http://departments.weber.edu/careerservices/_employers/recruiting.htm.

Westminster College Career Resources Center has an internship program designed to give academic credit for skill development and learning on the job. Internships consist of a new, planned learning experience, which combines classroom learning with career-related, off-campus work experience. The Career Center also hosts an annual Internship Fair each fall. For more information or to post an internship, contact Sara Lambert at 832-2591 or e-mail slambert@westminstercollege.edu.
